New England Coffee is one of the largest independent Coffee Roasters in the Northeast. Our Retail Coffee Shop, located at 108 Charles Street in Malden, MA, not only services our community with the best coffee around but we also have an eCommerce shop where we ship specialty coffee orders around the country.
The Retail and Coffee Store Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all eCommerce New England Coffee orders are filled daily. This role will also assist at the on-site coffee shop as needed, serving our customers with freshly brewed coffee and providing exceptional customer service.
GRIND THE BEANS. The crucial step to this position’s success:
- Ecommerce coffee order fulfillment, which includes monitoring and printing orders, filling, and shipping orders in a timely and accurate manner
- Managing inventory, place orders and restocking
- Enter daily online order summary into internal invoicing system
- Addresses all consumer inquiries/issues (email and phone) related to e-commerce orders in a timely manner, within 24 hours of initial contact (excluding weekends)
- Supervise Retail Fulfilment Associates
- Manages day-to-day operations of the coffee shop, including but not limited to opening and closing the store according to posted hours, brewing and serving coffee, filling food displays, taking phone orders and closing out daily sales with accuracy
- Adheres to all state/local health code standards. Ensures the operation is providing food-safe, quality products which meet or exceed all product specifications and regulatory requirements
- Implements daily, weekly, monthly cleaning and monitoring of all brewing and serving equipment to ensure quality, safe products. Notifies internal service team of any issues in timely manner
BREW THE PERFECT CUP. Ideal candidates will meet the following requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with the demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
- Attention to detail with ability to accurately fill orders
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to read and write in English
- Punctuality and reliability are required
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs
- Strong computer skills including MS Office products and shipping software a plus
- Flexibility as business needs require, including weekends and/or hours outside normal work schedules.
